Pursuing perfection
The inauguration of S J R Public School, H B R layout, in the year 2004 is another milestone in their history.

Keeping these words in mind, the prestigious Sri Jagadguru Renukacharye Education Society, headed by Prof M Shadaksharaswamy, runs 10 institutions and has rendered yeoman service in the field of education.

The inauguration of S J R Public School, H B R layout, in the year 2004 is another milestone in their history. The school, following the CBSE syllabus, has classes from Nursery to VII Std. Starting with 360 students, it now boasts of 1040 students.

The school is specially designed on four levels. It has spacious class rooms equipped with computer labs, up-to-date science labs, special maths and language labs, well-stocked and well-equipped library, activity rooms for craft, music, dance, painting and clay modelling, extensive playgrounds, auditorium, amphitheatre, indoor games room, conference hall and audio-visual studio, medical room and school bus services.

The campus of the school is spread over 1.5 acres in a remarkable location off the Hennur Bellary Road. It is rich with greenery, pollution free and has superior facilities for classroom-based learning, coupled with extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.

The schools founder-Principal Anjana Sinha is an able administrator, disciplinarian, well qualified and well experienced. She believes that the teachers should not be 'just teachers' but should take pride in their job of nurturing the future of tomorrow.

The school has classes from Pre-school to 10th standard for both boys and girls. English, Hindi, Kannada and Sanskrit languages are taught for language studies. The school provides latest methodologies and technologies for effective teaching. It also offers remedial coaching for slow learners, core-education in general science, mathematics and social studies.

Preschool education at the institution focuses on play way method, while the primary school lays its emphasis on project work, practical exercises and reasoning skills.

Co-curricular activities like creative thinking, communication skills, music, dance, painting, Abacus, HAM and Karate, Theatre and dramatics. Yoga and meditation, special exercises in value based education, field trips and excursions, Scouts and guide, community service, civic awareness, personality development, Programmes, Inter-school competitions and Hobby clubs are an added advantage.

The school invites reputed external resource personnel to assist the regular teachers in these specialised areas.
Students are divided into four houses named after the great ancient universities- Nalanda, Taxila, Shanthinikethan and Vaishali to develop the competitive spirit among them.

The school organises Science Exhibition and invites many schools in the city regularly.

The first batch of X std students passed out with cent percent result in the year 2006-07.
