The Karnataka High Court has served a contempt notice on Dr S Subramanya, BBMP Commissioner and Puttaswamy Gowda, Joint Director (West) for allowing the construction of a building violating a court order.
Following the construction activities by a builder Parasmal Jain that allegedly violated the bye laws on Langford Road in the City, a petition was filed by Deepak Dhanraj and Devraj Dhanraj, the residents adjacent to the construction site.
The petitioners sought the Court intervention to stop the work and the High Court ordered the work to be stopped.
However, the duo approached the court again to file a contempt of court petition. Judge of Karnataka High Court, Justice H G Ramesh has ordered for notice to be served on the builder as well as the BBMP officials. The matter has been adjourned.
