For those interested in the origins of romance, Holi promises to provide the answer. While it is true that the festival of colours is a great opportunity to indulge in some TLC, the Holi we are talking of is a girl. With Holi, director Shankaralinga Sugnalli wants to tell the story of Rati and Kamadeva in a prudent manner. And the story is atleast two-three centuries old. Still, the film is in commercial format with six songs and three fights. At the same time, the director is determined not to show any vulgarity!

Ragini of By2Coffee is the heroine opposite Venkatesh Prasad who was selected by the director after he saw him in lungi-baniyan! Ragini plays the challenging role of a Devadasi girl, Holi, in the film. The 18 -year old girl is already besieged with offers opposite Darshan and Upendra even before her Plus Two results are out!  Holi will be shot in Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole.
