The 1373 vacant posts of junior engineers in the Water Resources Department would soon be filled up through the Karnataka Public Service Commission, said Water Resources Minister K S Eshwarappa.
Speaking during a function in Kuruba Samaj in Davangere on Wednesday, he said that a notification in this regard will appear within 15 days.
In the PWD and Water Resources Departments, a total of 41 people have been promoted as Chief Engineers
Works in the Water Resources Department is progressing at a rapid pace as the IAS officers are being pressurised by the government. Hence no work remains incomplete, he added.
The IAS officers must understand the problems of the government and see to it that all works are completed within the stipulated time
