Govt committed for internal reservation: Eshwarappa
DH News Service, Davangere:
The facility will be extended to the people of backward classes and the party will not let the backward and dalits to be exploited, Water Resources Minister K S Eshwarappa said.

The State government is committed for providing internal reservation to the backward classes, said Water Resources Minister K S Eshwarappa.
He was speaking after being felicitated at a function to felicitate leaders of Kuruba Samaj in Davangere on Wednesday.
The BJP will not be perturbed by the threat of protests due to internal reservation. The facility will be extended to the people of backward classes and the party will not let the backward and dalits to be exploited, he explained.
We do not fear that the donations to Mutts have been flayed. The role of Mutts is important in fostering education and we will give even more funds to the Mutts, he said.
Those who use the castes to divide people will not be doing it for long. It is only incidental. Politics is a good forum for social service and the party will see to it that more and more social service measures are implemented, he added. He also called upon members of other political parties to do their mite in the endeavour.
Agriculture Minister Bandeppa Kashempur pointed out that by giving internal reservation to the backward classes will not amount to injustice to any other caste.
He pointed out that not enough discussions were held in this regard and said that at the moment it was not necessary to blame the government.
He explained that the internal reservation would take into account the number of people of a particular sect of the backward classes and only after ascertaining the total number of people in each sub-sect.
Hence there will be no injustice to any sub-sect, he added.
The minister noted that the government was committed to the development of farmers. He called upon the farmers not to commit suicide.
APMC President B M Sathish, former legislator K Mallappa, Muralidhar Swamiji and others participated.
