Bangalore based Gayathri and Namith Architects (GNA), founded by DK based architects Gayathri Shetty and Namith Varma, took a giant leap winning 7 highly acclaimed awards in the last six months.
Addressing media persons here on Tuesday, Namith Varma said that the awards include IIID-MK 2006 award for large corporate office category given for the sensitive and revolutionary design of their own office building in Bangalore.
She said the other awards are ArchiDesign- Hindware 2006 Award for best private residence, ArchiDesign- Hindware 2006 Public Jury Award, ArchiDesign South Zone Award for Best private residence, IIID-MK South Zone Award for best retail interior, IIID-MK South Zone Award for best large office space and IIID-MK South Zone Award for best hospitality interiors.
GNA are a team of about 75 people including architects, engineers and multi-disciplinary professionals in Bangalore with branches in Delhi, Hyderabad and Coimbatore, said Gayathri Shetty.
Ms Shetty added that GNA has won a number of awards formerly including the JK award for the Samskrutha Pathasala in Sringeri in 1995, Inside -Outside Designer award for Eco-friendly design in 1997 and many others.
