Unsafe city stretches

Unsafe stretch
I am a resident of Padmanabhanagar and a senior citizen. I would like to bring to your kind attention the following matter for relief and safety of the dwellers of this area.  We are living near the hospital zone of kidney foundation and Maharaja Agrasena hospital which are located in Padmanabhanagar. The main road and cross roads around this area, become very busy right from 7am in the morning to the evening with office goers; school children; business people; hawkers etc.
The roads are narrow and are awfully  crowded with vehicles like two wheelers, cars and autos. Cars driven at high speed cause anxiety to pedestrians some of whom are patients from the local hospitals taking an evening walk. Some vehicles drive without headlights and there are no traffic police around to check offenders who ply at high speeds.
To reduce this menace and bring safety to pedestrians, i suggest that the concerned authorities fix boards at the entrance of these roads to observe speed limits of 15km/hr and offenders of traffic laws should be dealt with accordingly.
A R Gopinath,
Padmanabhanagar

Uncovered pits
The water pipes on 1st phase, 9th cross, opposite to Lord Venkateshwara temple in JP Nagar are open with no slabs covering them.
This makes it dangerous and the chances are of accidents cannot be ruled out. Would the BWSSB do something and get a slab put to prevent any untoward incidents
MKN Raju,
J P Nagar.

Bad Roads
The roads in Muneshwaranagar have been dug up to lay the Cauvery pipes and haven’t been attended to for a long time now. These pits are left uncovered which often lead to accidents. I hope the authorities would make note of this and take the necessary action.

HELPLINE
My daughter four-year old Harika is diagnosed to be suffering from Bilateral Profound Sensorinerval deafness.  Her doctors at the Sagar Apollo hospital have advised her to undergo Cochlear implant surgery. The estimated cost of the procedure is 11 lakhs. Since I cannot raise that much money, I request philanthropists to render financial assistance which may be sent via cheques or DD to Harika, c/o M A Kanakaraja, Sagar Apollo hospital, 44/54, 30th cross, Tilaknagar, Jayanagar extension, Bangalore -560041. A/c no: UHID no 167090.
