Every year, an increasing number of II PU and Class XII students take up entrance tests like the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)’s Common Entrance Test (CET) or the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges-Karnataka (Comed-K)’s Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) to gain entry to medical, dental, ISM& H, and engineering colleges.
Students and parents alike have queries regarding the professional courses and colleges, be it the CET’s or Comed-K’s seat-selection process. Deccan Herald will conduct an interactive session on Saturday, placing the officials from KEA and Comed-K, with students and parents on a single platform to answer queries regarding the entrance test, the seat selection and admission processes.
S G Hegde, Director, KEA, and Commissioner, Pre-University Education, Syed Jamal, Administrative Officer, KEA-CET 2008, Dr S Kumar, Executive Secretary, Comed-K will be present at the DH Counselling session where students and parents can direct queries to them.
Questions pertaining to professional courses, seat matrix in Comed-K colleges, fee structure, top colleges and many other queries that students and parents want to know can be asked at the forum.
Colleges: There are 36 medical colleges, 40 dental colleges and 164 engineering colleges in the State offering MBBS, BDS, ISM &H, BE and BArch courses.
Venue and registration: The DH-Counselling will be conducted at Shiskshara Bhavan, K G Road, from 10 am till 1 pm.
