Mango Party
It’s time for this year’s Mango Party at Ranga Shankara. Perhaps the only party of its nature in town, Ranga Shankara celebrates the King of Fruits by throwing a party to which everyone is invited. Theatre and mango lovers of Bangalore can walk in with a kilo of any variety of mangoes and eat as much as they want from the pool.
“The Mango Party is an attempt to bring together people who love the fruit to celebrate its season. I believe mango is a very social fruit – better enjoyed as a group and shared. We endeavour to bring in many varieties to the pool for people to taste and understand. It’s an open-at-all party – the more the merrier. I specially look forward to having our regular audiences so that we can meet informally”, says Arundhati Nag, the Creative Director of Ranga Shankara. The theatre fraternity of Bangalore is expected to arrive in full strength to have a go at the fruit. The party will take place on May 20 from 3 pm to 6.30 pm.
