Karnataka’s Rashein Samuel and A K Padmapriya entered the title round of the boys and girls sections respectively in the Laabh Jewellers AITA Championship Series tennis tournament at the Sadashivanagar Club courts here on Thursday.
Top-seeded Samuel scored a comfortable 6-3, 6-2 win over Rohit Srinath and will meet R Vigneshwaran of Tamil Nadu, the eighth seed, who upset second-seeded Sharan Patil of Karnataka 6-2, 6-4 in the other semifinal.
Padmapriya, the third seed, defeated sixth-seeded Sanjana M Kumar of Tamil Nadu 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. She will take on top-seeded C Rajeshwari of Tamil Nadu in the final. Rajeshwari scored over Karnataka’s Raveena Shetty, seeded fourth, 6-1, 6-2.
