Badruddin, an accused in the multi crore fake stamp paper scam had taken up two houses in R T Nagar on the pretext of starting a real estate business, a witness in the case revealed before the special court at Parappana Agrahara, which is trying the case.
Hoovappa and Sudhakar, both of whom had given their houses on rent to Badruddin said that he had introduced himself as Mohammad Ryan and told them he intended to start a real estate business. They also stated that the deposit they had collected had been seized by the police.
Krishna, branch head of the Centurion Bank, Cunningham Road in his deposition said that one of the accused Byroji Rao had opened an account in the name of Mohammad Ryan and had operated it.
After recording the deposition, judge V Angadi adjourned hearing to Friday.
