A movie will chronicle how Dadasaheb Phalke made India’s first movie film nearly one hundred years ago! Sixty four years after his death, the tale of how the legend of the Indian film industry made his— and India’s— first feature film will be told to the world through cinema itself. Titled Harishchandrachi Factory, the Marathi film will narrate the story of the making of Raja Harishchandra, which was released on May 13, 1913.
