The mystery surrounding the murder of 14-year-old Arushi Talwar at Noida on Friday took a new twist with the recovery of the body of the family servant Hemraj, who was initially thought to be a suspect in the murder, from the terrace of the Talwar’s house on Saturday.
During routine investigation of the spot, the police detected a blood trail which ultimately led them to the terrace from where Hemraj’s blood soaked body was recovered, a police headquarters spokesman here said.
Prima facie it appears that Hemraj and Arushi had been murdered at around the same time, he said.
“Murder of Hemraj, who had initially emerged as a prime suspect, gives rise to the suspicion that there could be a third person involved in the matter,” SP Mahesh Mishra, told Deccan Herald. The father of the girl was also being quizzed, police sources here said.
Meanwhile the government has directed the STF to assist the Noida police.
A student of Delhi Public School, Noida Arushi Talwar was found murdered on Friday night at her posh Sector-25 residence at Noida. Arushi’s father is a leading dentist of the city.
