Tulu album ready for release
‘Aralund Manass,’ a Tulu video album, being produced under Capman Media Makers (Mangalore) is ready for release, said poet Hussain Katipalla.
Speaking at a press meet in Mangalore on Wednesday, he said the album had the credit of being the first of its kind venture in the history of Tulu language.
Mr Hussain said there were a total of nine songs in the album, which have been shot in various places of Dakshina Kannada like Mangalore, Dharmasthala, Karkala, Moodabidri, Surathkal, Ullal, Someshwar, Deralakatte, Katipalla, Krishnapura, besides some of the places in Kasaragod as well.
Singers Ravindra Prabhu, Prakash Mahadevan, Chandrahas Tokkottu, Anitha Shyam have sung for the album.
J J Kumar from Kutpady (Udupi) and Preethi Gonsalves from Mani (Puttur) are the lead actors in the album, he added. B A Akbar Ali and M G Rahiman were present in the press meet.
