'She was no more'
DH News Service, Chitradurga:
Ibrahim Saab, with tears roll down from lugubrious eyes, narrated the tragic story.

“She had become entangled in the rear wheel of the bus. I tried to haul her out but she was already dead,”  Ibrahim Saab, with tears roll down from lugubrious eyes, narrated the tragic story.
Ibrahim Saab, the  bridegroom who has lost his wife and the entire family in a ghastly accident, just 14 hours after his marriage, is lying poleaxed at the Chitradurga District Hospital.
As many as 19 people were killed when a mini lorry collided with a KSRTC bus near Kanahosahalli Alur cross, on National Highway 13, on Friday morning. The new bride, Yasmin, too was one among them.
Their  marriage was held on Thursday afternoon at Konnur in Bijapur.
“When I fell out of the mini truck, I was gradually losing my consciousness and I could only hear people screaming and crying for help. But I somehow managed to get up and even before searching for my wife, her body had become entangled with the backwheel of the bus. I tried to haul her up but she had pegged out and the soul had departed. Then I turned around to see my parents, brother-sister..., the entire family lying dead in the pool of blood. After witnessing all these, my eyes faded into darkness. Then I don’t know what really happened. Now I am lying in this hospital, he narrates.
“My wife and sister we-re sitting in the middle of the front seat and I and my uncle were lying on the corn sacks placed at the back of the vehicle’s door. I have no idea as to how the mishap occurred...” continues Ibrahim, a driver in Bangalore.
