VTU to conduct PGCET
Belgaum, dhns: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum has been entrusted with the work of conducting Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admissions to MBA, MCA and ME / MTech / MArch courses of government colleges, constituent colleges of universities, university departments, aided courses of affiliated colleges and seats surrendered by private institutions.
The admission procedure will be overviewed by the Central Postgraduate Admission Committee (CPAC) constituted by the Government with Visvesvaraya Technological University Vice-Chancellor as chairman, Vice-Chancellor and/or their nominees of Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Gulbarga, Tumkur, Karnatak and Kuvempu Universities as members and VTU Registrar, as member secretary.
A detailed notification in this regard will be released within a week and also uploaded to VTU website www.vtu.ac.in
UGET: Key answers changed
Bangalore, dhns: Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges in Karnataka (Comed-K) has changed the key answers to seven questions in the recently concluded UGET for admissions to management quota seats in professional colleges.
Comed-K received as many as 41 applications challenging the key-answers published on May 6 and an expert committee upheld as many seven responses.
Accordingly, the key-answers to two questions in physics, one in chemistry, two questions in mathematics and two in biology have been changed, Comed-K Secretary S Kumar said.
The test score will now be based on the revised key-answer matrix. Comed-K will be publishing the test scores on May 22. The test scores too can be challenged.
A Demand Draft of Rs 100 per candidate, drawn in favour of ‘Comed-K 2007’, payable at Bangalore, should be enclosed.
