2 lakh for Soundarya Lahiri

Around one lakh people are likely to gather at the Palace Grounds on Sunday to participate in the Soundarya Lahiri Samarpana programme.

Around one lakh people are likely to gather at the Palace Grounds on Sunday to participate in the Soundarya Lahiri Samarpana programme.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 5pm in the presence of Jagadgurus Sri Sri Bharathi Teertha Swamiji of Sringeri Sharada Peetha, Sri Sri Swarupananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Dwarka and Badri Jyotishpeetha and Sri Sri Nischalananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Puri Govardhana Peetha.
At 12 pm there will be a valedictory function of Sri Shankara Yasho Vaibhava programme at Shankara Mutt, Shankarpuram.
Special BMTC buses will ferry the participants to the venue and back to the bus stands.
The programme was inaugurated on May 12 with an exhibition of books on Advaita philosophy, at the National Higher Primary School in Basavanagudi in the City. There were around 700 books in different national and international languages on display.
On Saturday there was a national seminar on Vedanta philosophy in which scholars from all over India presented their papers.
The event was organised by Vedanta Bharathi, Mysore district under the guidance of Sri Sri Shankarbharathi Swamiji of Yoganandeshwara Saraswathi Mutt.
