In two separate accidents on Saturday night and Sunday morning three people were killed in the taluk. A few people have also been injured in the incidents.
At around 11.30 on Saturday night a Tata safari was on its way from Panchanhalli, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and turned turtle. The owner of the vehicle was killed on the spot.
He has been identified as K M Nithyananda (40), a resident of Arasikere. He was the owner of JCP and was coming into town for collections.
Two others who were travelling with sustained minor injuries.
In another incident two lorries collided with each other on the Srirangapatna highway and the two drivers died on the spot.
Cleaners missing
The cleaners however are reported missing from the scene.
The deceased have been identified as Muniyanid Kadampalya originally from Tamil Nadu and Mandya Ramesh. One lorry was transporting chicken coops and the other was transporting rice bags. The DySP H R Mahadevaiah visited the accident site.
A case has been registered in the police station.
