3 parties in secret pact
Bangalore, DHNS:
The BJP on Thursday alleged that Congress, the JD(S) and the SP had arrived at a pre-poll clandestine internal arrangement in anticipation of a hung assembly.

Addressing a press conference here, BJP National General Secretary Ananth Kumar said the three parties had joined hands to grab power at any cost.

However, he claimed their ploy will not work as there was a definite wave in favour of the BJP.
He said the people of Shikaripura are with B S Yeddyurappa, who is the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate.
Meanwhile, three former corporators from the JD(S) joined the BJP in the presence of Kumar.

B R Nanjundappa, Venkatesh, and Mahalakshmi Venkatesh, former councillors in BBMP decided to join BJP after being “betrayed” by JD(S) while issuing party tickets.

“I did not want to contest the assembly election. However, I got a call from former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy requesting me to support the party and assured me of a party ticket to contest the polls. However, at the last minute I was betrayed,” Nanjundappa said.
