CBSE students are finding themselves ‘isolated’ as their results for both Class X and Class XII have not been declared yet, while the admission in various colleges have nearly come to a close.
SSLC, PUC, ICSE and ISC results are already out and the students are busy scouting for the ‘right’ colleges.
The rush can be seen at the counters in PU and degree colleges. But students under CBSE are missing.
Said Swathi, a CBSE student, “I am worried because of the delay in the results. I went to some colleges and learnt that they have been instructed to reserve five per cent seats for CBSE students.”
But due to the delay in results, her plans to make the right choice (from among some vocational courses) may hit.
Other avenues
“I haven’t planned about my further studies. Probably, I’ll go for fashion designing but, right now, my wait is for the results,” she said and noted that her friends have already got admission in various colleges while she is ‘left dangling’.
Her friend, Shruthi, in the same fix. “The results, I now learn, will be out in the last week of May.” Meghana, studying at Tumkur, says she hasn’t planned yet what to do next.
“Till I see my performance on mark-sheet, it would be difficult for me to decide on my future course,” she said.
According to one source, the CBSE is declaring the Class XII results of students from the southern region on May 23.
