TORTURE OF DGPS SON
ASI in a fix
DH News Service, Bangalore:
An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) attached to the Talaghattapura police station, Rudreshaiah, is in trouble for allegedly demanding money from a DGPs son and his friend to register a complaint on Tuesday.

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) attached to the Talaghattapura police station,   Rudreshaiah, is in trouble for allegedly demanding money from a DGP’s son and his friend to register a complaint on Tuesday.
Arun, son of Shreekumar, Director General of Police, Police Housing Corporation, and his friend Alyesha Kumar (students of National Law School), had gone to the station to lodge a complaint on their lost credit and debit cards. The students were allegedly tortured and made to “cry for help” despite disclosing their identity.

Dramatic turn

Once Arun was allowed to speak to his father on his cell, things took a dramatic turn. The first information report was filed and the case cracked in no time.

Inspector’s version
The inspector of the Talaghattapura police station told Deccan Herald: “On May 19, Arun and his friends had a get-together at Durga Nursery near Gublala on Kanakapura Road. After the event, some students found their belongings -- cameras, credit cards, etc -- missing. They suspected two waiters, Deb and Billal, who had accompanied the caterers from Indiranagar, but cared to give a complaint only when they found that their credit cards had been used to make purchases worth Rs 18,200”.
