A teenager absconded after attempting to rape a four-year-old girl in JP Nagar on Tuesday night.
According to the police, Shiva took the girl to a remote place near her house promising to buy her a chocolate  and tried to rape her.
The girl’s mother, who happened to come out, heard her daughter screaming.
By the time she could reach the spot, Shiva had managed to escape.

Suicide
A housewife committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Sreenivasa Nagar on Tuesday. Satyavelu (30) was tortured by her husband  Ramesh, an electrical contractor. Ramesh had tried to kill her by dousing her with kerosene, but she escaped, it is learnt. During the investigation, her child said, “My parents used to always fight. My father used to hit my mother.” Ramesh is said to be absconding.
