A person was killed in a bus - car collision at Padubidri on Monday.  According to police, the deceased has been identified as Imran, proprietor of Personal beedi company. He was on the way to Mulky. The impact of the mishap was so severe that the bus after hitting the car had collided with a mobike. The car has been completely damaged in the mishap. A case has been registered.

   Thieves gained entry into a shop and decamped with arecanut worth Rs 23,500 at Peruvayi village of Vittal on Monday. A case has been registered.
Hurt
  A bicycle rider was seriously injured as he was hit by a tanker at Shiroor on NH 17 in the night on Tuesday. Suresh Masta (36), a carpenter by profession, was the injured.
   The incident occurred when the tanker, plying from Kundapur to Bhatkal collided with the bicycle, which was on the same route. The injured has been admitted to a private hospital in Kundapur and his condition is said to be critical.
