“Great fight is going on in Ullal. Mr H D Deve Gowda and sons are staging a play in association with BJP in Ullal,” said KPCC former President B Janardhan Poojary.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said that JDS has fielded a Muslim candidate with permission from BJP. He quoted Venkaiah Naidu’s term ‘friendly fight’ and said that both JDS and BJP are playing a dirty game.
Mr Poojary alleged that JDS is doing a favour to BJP to thank their help in Chamundeshwari by-polls and also to divide minority votes.
Expressing his confidence over the voters of Ullal, Mr Poojary said that Congress is aware of the divide and rule policy executed by BJP and JDS. This is not a communal fight, but a question of development of the constituency, he added.
Strongly critcising JDS election policies, Mr Poojary opined that their next step will be to finish off BJP. He openly challenged Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to resign instead of blaming Deputy CM B S Yediyurappa for not funding his programmes.
Mr Poojary alleged that CM’s staying in a town will not solve the drinking water and ration card problems of the general public there. Speaking on the vulgar photographs of a BJP minister, he questioned the existance of Sangh Parivar in the State. He also stated that alchohol should be completely banned all over the State.
Mr B Ramanath Rai, M Ramachandrappa and Harikrishna Bantwal were present at the press meet.
