Iglesias not ready for marriage
Singer Enrique Iglesias does not want to marry girlfriend, former tennis star Anna Kournikova, or have children with her for at least 10 years more, IANS reports from London.
They have been dating for five years but Iglesias has no plans to commit, reports contactmusic.com.
He said: “I honestly don’t believe you need to be married, and at this point, I don’t think it would make a difference. In fact, the only difference is going to be a piece of paper.”

Feuding sisters
Rocker Avril Lavigne and the Duff sisters — Hilary and Haylie — are continuing their feud and tried to stay away from each other at a recent party, IANS reports from New York.
They were not able to completely stay out of each other’s way at the Maxim Hot 100 party and Lavigne threatened to leave the event midway. They were supposed to arrive at different times but they came in almost together, said Newsweek.com.

South African pregnant  women set world record
Over 1,000 pregnant women in South Africa set a new world record Saturday for the largest gathering of women due to give birth — and there were no early arrivals, reports Reuters from Johannesburg.

“We were a little bit concerned having all these pregnant women under one roof, but we are happy that none of them went into labour,” said organiser Projeni Pather.

The event needed only 100 pregnant women to set the record, but attracted 1,146 which was verified by independent adjudicators to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.

"We are very relieved and happy to have set a world record for the largest number of pregnant women under one roof," Pather said. Two thousand pregnant mums had pre-registered to take part in the event, but some could not wake up early enough and others might have gone into labor, she added.
Some women were in the early stages of their pregnancy while others were due to give birth in a few days.

Britney  booed
Troubled pop star Britney Spears, who is attempting to make a comeback, ran into trouble when her CD skipped five times during a performance and the audience booed at her, London reports from IANS.
Spears has been touring the US for the first time in three years, but fans started jeering at her recently at the House of Blues performance. “It was an ugly scene. The crowd, which had been on her side, started jeering and heckling her. Britney looked absolutely devastated,” a source close to her was quoted as saying by mirror.co.uk.

10 Taliban killed in Afghan gun-battle
Taliban militants attacked a police checkpoint in southern Afghanistan, sparking a two-hour gun-battle that killed 10 insurgents and one policeman, an Afghan official said on Tuesday. The battle in the Zhari district of Panjwayi province on Monday night also left two police wounded, Associated Press reports from Kabul quoting police.
In Zabul province, a Taliban leader named Mullah Kabir was gunned down by police on Monday.
