Madiga leader calls off fast
Hyderabad, DHNS:

The fasting Madiga leader Manda Krishna Madiga broke his six-day long fast here on Tuesday after the Congress government assured to send an all-party delegation to New Delhi to plead with the Centre to hasten a decision on categorisation of the Scheduled Castes.
The delegation will leave in a day or two, according to Social Welfare Minister Subash Chandra  Bose who brokered the agreement with the fasting leader.
The government has agreed to appoint an IAS officer to help the Usha Mehra Commission in finalising the report on Scheduled Caste categorisation.
