French Degree Course in Mount Carmel College
Those interested in pursuing French as a degree have an opportunity to do so at Mount Carmel College beginning this academic year(June/July-2007). “Optional French” as a new Undergraduate Course in Bachelor of Arts, alongside Communicative English and Sociology adds a vocational twist. This gives the student an edge over a conventional combination. A minimum of three academic years in French or a few levels at a French Institute is the eligibility factor for one interested in applying.

Finance for Non-Finance Executives
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is the Prime Institute in the field of Finance & Accounting, not only in India but Internationally too.
The course is open to Non-Finance Executives such as Engineers, Architects, Doctors, Human Resource personnel, Department Heads, Administrators and other executives.
The course does not call for any prior knowledge in Accountancy. The course coverage will be basic in all subjects.
The Institute will accept applicants for the course nominated by their organisations. Self-employed professionals or professionals who run their organisations are also welcome to apply.

This is a modular type course of one year duration. Formal coaching is held at Regional Institutes of NPTI located at Badarpur, (New Delhi), Nagpur, Durgapur and Neyveli. On job training is conducted at the nearby Thermal Power Stations and the training on hi-tech, simulator, at NPTI, Faridabad, Badarpur/Nagpur. The course profile covers the mandatory requirement under Indian Electricity Amendment Rules, 1981 which stipulates “No person shall be authorised to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of generating station capacity of 100 MW and above together with the associated substation unless he is adequately qualified and has undergone the specified training at a recognised institute.”
Age limit: For non-sponsored candidates the age limit as on 31-8-2007 is 30 years. No age limit for sponsored candidates.
