Animation is an important part of the entertainment industry and has a global appeal. According to a study, the Indian Animation Industry will have a sharse of $950 million by 2007.
MAAC was set up in 2001. It is a 3D animation and visual effects training academy and is the academic wing of Maya Entertainment Ltd (MEL) with 40 centres spread across the country. It also has centres in USA, UK, UAE, Singapore and Nepal.

Maya, Flame, 3ds Max, Premiere, Combustion, Deep Paint, After Effects, Avid Express, Final Cut Pro, SoftImage XSI, Character Studio, Shake, ZBrush, Eye on Fusion and 3D Architectural Walkthroughs. The AD3D and PD3D courses are validated by University of Cambridge.
