Bharti Enterprises Chairman and CEO Sunil Bharti Mittal, on Thursday, was  elected the President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the year 2007-08. Mr Mittal succeeds Mr R Seshasayee, MD of Ashok Leyland, and will assume charge of the new office here Friday. He was the CII VP during 2006-07 and Co-Chairman of the World Economic Forum in 2007. He is also a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Trade and Industry. ICICI Bank MD and CEO K V Kamath has been named the new VP of the industry chamber for  2007-08.
