Harmonium habba
Bijapure Harmonium Foundation celebrates Harmonium Habba and facilitates legendary maestro Pt Ranbhau Bijapure on his complete 90 years of his musical life on May 27. ‘Swara-yana’ a biography of Pt Rambhau Bijapure by Shirish Joshi will be released on the occasion.  The programme begins in the morning at 9.30 am with performances by four artistes. A Hindustani solo peroformance by Deepak Marathe, a Carnatic harmonium solo by Vidwan R Paramashivan, Hindustani Vocal by Shreedhar Kulkarni and Hindustani harmonium solo Pt Vasanth Kanakapur. The everning programme begins at 5.30 pm with a Hindustani harmonium duet by Dr Sudhanshu Kulkarni and Sang Kulkarni, and a harmonium accordian Milan by Shri M B Prakash, Shri P Ravindra and Dr Ravindra Katoti. Then there will the felicitation and the book relese followed by a solo performance by Ramabhau Bijapure himself.

Music programme
Pallavi Gana Sabha, on May 28 is organising a music programme at Sree Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple Auditorium, Malleshwaram 8th Cross. On this occasion the Sabha celebrates its 17th year Sree Purandara Dasa, Kanaka Dasa, Thyagaraja, Muthuswamy Dikshithar and Shyama Shashtri Aradhana. Sangeetha Seva will be held by various artists on this auspicious occasion followed by a rare and intricate presentation by Pallavi C Varadaraja. Later in the evening a felicitation program is arranged in which Dr P N Govindarajulu, a popular child specialist and social worker will honour Vidushi Neela Ramgopal with the title “Ganakala Chandra.”
Speech performance
Logos Theatre is presenting "SpeechMagic - a performance in Spoken Word and Unword: fragementary narratives of a fragmented self", on May 26, 7 pm at Unwind Centre, No 104, 17th C Main, Koramangala 5th Block. For more details, please get in touch with Priyanshu at 9886527471. 

 Debut production
Nam Kampni (meaning ‘our company’), is staging their first theatrical production ‘Naajookiah’, based on a play written by T N Seetharam of television fame. The stage production is at 7:30 pm on May 24 and 25 at Rangashankara. Tickets, priced at Rs 100 will be available at the venue. For details call: 9844216994.

Comedy play
Pierrot’s Troupe is presenting a comedy play ‘Big B’ on May 27, 7:30 pm at Alliance Francaise. The play, based on Munshi Premchand’s ‘Bade Bhai Saheb’, is written and directed by Dr M Sayeed Alam and Niti Sayeed. Tickets, priced at Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 200 are available at the venue.
