Sulekha violates rules
Bangalore, dhns:
The Surekha International school is built on three small sites, for which they had no right. The management had taken the approval from the BBMP only to build residential buildings.

Chief Engineer of Lokayukta Ch-owdappa accompanied by Director, Anande Gowda and Assistant Executive Engineer Nanjappa, on Friday, visited ‘Surekha International’ at K P Agrahara and found several irregularities in school building.
According to sources, the team reportedly found several building violations. The school is built on three small sites, for which they had no right. The management had taken the approval from the BBMP only to build residential buildings. They did not have the approval to build a commercial complex. Moreover, the approval  was taken for ground plus two floors. But the school is built on ground plus four floors, which is a gross violation of the approved plan said the source.
The copies of the approved plan were not available with the BBMP. But the school management has been asked to furnish the copies based on which the next step will be taken, said the source.
A couple of months ago, a student of Surekha International School lost his life and two other children were injured, when a brick of a wall fell on them. After the incident, the Deputy Lokayukta  Patri Basanna Gouda had initiated a suo moto notice to a probe into the incident.
The BBMP had ordered demolition of the school building following an inspection, during which they found cracks in the walls and columns but the management told us that they had taken a stay order from the court. We have asked them to show us the court order on Saturday, said the source.
