All that is fit for a star!
Water is the secret of my health, Sanjay Dutt had said once. He had added that his diet comprised chicken, eggs and large helpings of steamed vegetables. And that he works out every day for an hour and a half.

Bollywood stars, in the course of several interviews, have revealed their fitness mantras. Actor Bipasha Basu, known to be a fitness freak, had once said that there is no short-cut method to lose weight. Some time ago, she revealed: “My gym routine is a priority, and if I have two hours free, I spend half an hour with John and the rest of the time in the gym or in a swimming pool.”
“Water is the secret of my health,” Sanjay Dutt had said once. He had added that his diet comprised chicken, eggs and large helpings of steamed vegetables. And that he works out every day for an hour and a half.
Like Sanjay Dutt, many other filmstars are regulars at gyms. Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Sunny Deol are known to have their private gyms in their luxurious homes.
The latest fitness fad among Bollywood stars is Tai Chi and kickboxing. Koena Mitra recently said in an interview that she has been practicing Tai Chi so that she can ‘define’ her muscles better and carry off an action movie. Tai Chi, she says, helps her control her body and balance it better. Bipasha Basu too is a great fan of kickboxing. She says instead of making a woman look all muscly, kickboxing sculpts the body and gives it curves. The men who are hotting up the kickboxing scene are Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
Nobody can dispute Shilpa Shetty’s perfect 10 figure. She had once said she was “genetically blessed.” She believes in meditation and squats.
Malaika-Arora Khan, when asked to reveal the secret of her trim figure even after motherhood, says she “works out religiously and eats right.” According to her, “all it takes is an hour every day!”
John Abraham’s trainer Khatib had said in an interview that the star works out every day for two to three hours. His daily workout includes weight lifting and kick-boxing sessions.
Esha Deol who had to lose all her flab and reinvent herself for Dhoom, says she managed to get those sexy abs by working out every day for one hour. Her workouts incorporated  doing barbells and dumb-bells and avoiding oily and fatty food.
Ajay Devgan, meanwhile, has never been the one to show off big muscles, despite being a martial arts expert. His karate and judo training have given him his enviable physique.
Saif’s workouts in the gym became apparent in ‘Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein’ a few years ago. In ‘Salaam Namaste’, Saif shows off his well-toned body and in ‘Omkara’, he looks powerfully built. Who would have thought that this is the same skinny Saif of ‘Yeh Dillagi’! Both Preity Zinta and boyfriend Ness Wadia are said to be fitness freaks. They apparently love playing outdoor sports and watching it as well. What more, they have a common fitness trainer too.
Simple food, a little yoga and staying away from mishti dahi, that’s what keeps Amitabh Bachchan fit and fine. His trainer Vrinda Mehta has designed his schedule, keeping his health problems in mind.
