Bollywood has not been bed of roses for Dino Morea, but the model-turned-actor seems sure his time has come, and his sense of humour helps him brush-off any failures with a simple, "it was a learning process" statement. Dino was in Bangalore, his home town, on Tuesday for a product launch and he spoke candidly about his films, his temptations and more.
Dino finally has quite a number of films in the pipeline and though his previous film 'Brham' didn't fare well on the box office, he seems quite excited about two of his forthcoming films 'Acid Factory' and 'Heroes', which has Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Salman Khan and Preity Zinta besides Dino. "Actually, we all do small cameos in 'Heroes'. It is about us in the army and there’s a story revolving around each one of us," he says.
Dino is all set to do an item song in the film 'Har Pall' too. On his film choices, Dino is quite honest. "As an outsider, you have to work twice as hard or ten times harder to make your mark.’’ He is also honest in admitting that he wanted to make money fast. "Initially, I signed films only for money. It's not easy to make ends meet in a city like Mumbai. However, because I did that then, today, I am in a position to say no, until the right script comes along."
Dino also wants to produce a film in the near future. He has also done a guest appearance in the Kannada film 'Julie', and says he is open to good offers in any language cinema.
While he thwarted off questions on which Bollywood actress he finds tempting, he said all his "friends" in the industry are great people. When questioned about Kareena Kapoor's much-talked about figure in 'Tashan' and reports of her starving herself to achieve it, Dino brushed it off with a: "She is not anorexic or anything. She was with me in the plane the other day and she was eating very well." And finally, where does he see himself in the future? "Sailing in my yacht, somewhere in the Mediterranean and counting my money!" Quite a dreamer eh!
