The Forum of former Vice-Chancellors of Karnataka State Universities (FVCK) announced the list of elected members at its general body meeting on Saturday. Dr N R Shetty has been made the president. Other office bearers are Dr M Mahadevappa and Dr K Hanumantappa (VPs) and Dr M Muniyamma (Secretary) and Dr P Venkataramaiah (Jt Secy ) and Dr R N Srinivas Gowda (Treasurer).
Former VC's froum must be the joke of the year. These "fired guns" or "had beens" must be feeling igonroed and neglected in retirement. They must ask themselves what was so distigushing about their careers. MOst fo them got their jobs becuase one or another factor other than merit, and now they still want to "contribute" their might to furhter degenerate the higher education system. I want them to show the people with proof how they excelled as VC's and what their contributions for education.
