The workshop is being conducted to draw enthusiasts towards this art of colourful costumes and the skilled labour which has not been given the recognition it deserves.Radhakrishna Urala will train the participants in Yakshagana at Girinagara Shanthiniketan School. As part of the ‘Yakshaprasadana’ project at Thyagarajanagara Yakshadegula premises, resource persons like Sri Madhava, Ganesha Uppunda, Harshikatta Vishwanatha Shet, who has made an in-depth study and written a book titled Yakshagana Aharya Kammata will guide the participants about costume preparation, repair work, how to apply glittering silver and gold foil to the Yakhagana ornaments, gum preparation, glass cutting and pasting, preparation of ‘Chanda Maddale’ instruments.
