A street play urging people to come out and vote was organised at Banashankari in which several cine and television stars acted in it.
The play which began at Ganesh Mandali ward at Banashankari included comedians Honavalli Krishna, Dingri Nagraj, Shankanaada Aravind, Junior Narasimha Raju, Sevakshetra Raju and others.
“We have been observing that there has been continuous drop in voting percentage. It is not healthy for democracy, therefore our aim is to educate people about the voting,” said Honavalli Krishna.
“We want people to participate in polling, let them select their own candidate, but the important aspect is voting.
A vote should not go waste,” Honavalli Krishna said. The play will be repeated at Padmanabhanagar, Yediyur and other places on Monday and is likely to continue throughout the City until the day of polling.
