With a view to inculcate better appreciation of cinema, Suchitra Film Society, in association with LACE Films, is organising a three-day film appreciation workshop from May 9 to 11, at the society premises, Banashankari II Stage.
The workshop, being conducted by eminent film analyst Prof K Hariharan, Director of L V Prasad Film & TV Academy, involves interactive sessions, discussions and analysis of films being screened. A short exercise in script writing, film shooting besides lectures by eminent film practitioners forms part of the workshop.
Primarily aimed at students aspiring to take film as career option and those wanting to garner better insights into various aspects of cinema, the workshop will provide insights into the dynamics of cinematic medium, psycho-linguistic devices in cinema, cinematic notions and educating the spectator.
