Kodagu has been promoted to the third position in PUC results in the State, as against previous year where it stood fourth.
Out of the total 4,522 students who appeared for the exams held in March last, 3,039 have passed with a result of 67.20 per cent.
Girls as usual, have an upper hand over boys, where 1,792 have passed out of 2,737 (65.47 pc).
Out of 2,651 boys, 1,475 have passed, thus reflecting 55.64 per cent results.
In Arts section, 1,792 have passed out of the total 2,737 students (62.93 pc); in Commerce section, 1,694 students have passed out of the total 2,692 (79.54 pc).
In Science section, 408 have passed among 652 students (62.58 pc).
No copying instances have been recorded in the district in the past four years during II PUC examinations, said PU Department Deputy Director M L Gurumurthy.
Those who have failed, can appear for supplementary exams to be held in between June 19-28.
May 15 is the last day to pay exam fees, Mr Gurumurthy informed.
