The Books Logistics, a City-based company operating in the logistic sector has started a new venture, ‘Parcel on Rail’ that promises to deliver anything from documents to parcels at half the cost charged by couriers/freight operators using road transport.

Couriers will be delivered using passenger trains as opposed to the usual norm of sending goods on board freight containers. P Raghavan from the Books Logistics said the venture has been started in tune with the privatisation policy of Indian Railways.
