“Congress is the only party that can bestow a stable tenure for the people of Karnataka and can cater to the wants of the unprivileged sections of the State,” said KPCC former president B Janardhan Poojary. Speaking to media persons here on Friday, he said the Congress manifesto itself indicates party’s concern for women, which has announced free education for the girls until graduation and to deposite Rs 1.5 lakh when a girl child turns 18, he added.

Coming down heavily against BJP leaders, Mr Poojary criticised that BJP should be ashamed of itself for projecting Gujarat as the role model for Karnataka and Gujarat CM Modi as its brand ambassador.
