'I won't rest till BJP is wiped out'
DH News Service, Kolar:
"I will not rest until the BJP, which is the propagator of bebased culture in the State is uprooted," avowed former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

He was addressing the huge crowd that had gathered in Malur on Monday, as part of the election campaign, on behalf of the JD(S) party candidate.

Former legislator A Nagaraj ( Congress) and dalit leader C M Muniyappa were welcomed into the JD(S) party by H D Kumaraswamy  in the city.

Though tbe BJP National Unit Vice President Venkaiah Naidu talks as an authority on the Hindu culture his remarks on the JD(S) party is highly condemnable, he said.

Mr Venkaiah Naidu had remarked that the body of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda will have to be carried by his four sons. To which former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy replied that the election result alone would indicate the outcome.

There would not be any marked change in the position of the BJP party in the State even after the election, said Mr Kumaraswamy.

Mr Venkaiah Naidu has transcended his limits and has engaged in very low verbal battle. People will give a befitting reply to politicians who are engaged in such low politics, he added.

Moreover, the people of the State should question the benefits and facilities accorded to the people of the State by Mr Venkaiah Naidu, when the NDA government was in power in the Centre under the leadership of Atal Behari Vajpayee, said Mr Kumaraswamy.

“I cannot be labelled as a traitor. If the JD(S) had not formed the coalition government with the BJP, it would have lost its vigour. Also, Mr Yeddyurappa had approached me and had sought the portfolio of a minister in the cabinet, as he complained of being ill treated in the BJP party. Thus, he was given the portfolio of the deputy chief minister, despite that he was not grateful. The BJP was revived only because of the JD(S)party,” added Mr Kumaraswamy.

No right

Moreover, the BJP doesn't have any moral right to label me as corrupt, he added. The Union government will immediately give a nod to the drinking water project of the Tamil Nadu government at Hogenakal. However, when it comes to sanctioning of any drinking water project in the Karnataka state, it adopts step motherly treatment. This is highly condemnable, observed former chief minister.

If the JD(S) is voted to power, I will give top priority in providing permanent solution to the drinking water project and agriculture in the Kolar district, he said.
