The campaign trail of the BJP is all set to get a major boost with the party’s brand icon and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi set to visit the City on Tuesday.
The party has decided to call Modi for the campaign meeting which will held at Government Junior College grounds at 6 pm on Tuesday.
BJP’s senior leader and a well know face to the people of Bellary and Karnataka Sushma Swaraj has already campaigned for the party in the state and has taken to task Congress and JD(S) parties.
On the other hand JD(S) is no mood to compromise on its campaign. Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraaswamy has toured the district twice which is regarded as the JD(S) bastion in the State.
Even party supremo and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda has recently campaigned for the party in the district.
With five days to spare for the actual voting day the tempers in the political parties are flaring up.
BJP’s decision to call Narendra Modi is in correspondence with sympathetic with the wave that BJP is experiencing in the district. A tight security has been organised in the City in this context. Intelligence forces from State and Central have already arrived in the City.
