After playing the simple and golden-hearted Munnabhai, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is set to metamorphose into the cold and calculating serial killer, Charles Shobraj, in a film called Charles and I, reports agencies from Mumbai.

Cop held for setting afire pregnant lover
A police constable was arrested in Chennai after he set his pregnant lover on fire, reports IANS quoting official sources here. The woman is in critical state having suffered 80 percent burns, said officials at Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital. Constable R Kumaran, 30, lured S Kumuda, 28, to the Andhra Pradesh border, 40 km from here, under the guise of marriage. Kerala MLA’s election nullified
The Kerala High Court on Tuesday declared as void the election of CPM MLA M J Jacob from Piravom assembly constituency in Ernakulam district,reports DHNS from Thiruvananthapuram. A voter of the constituency had alleged in his petition that M J Jacob distributed pamphlets in the constituency during the last Assembly election tarnishing the character of his opponent and former minister T M Jacob. Justice Thotthathil B Radhakrishnan said the court had found that Mr Jacob had indulged in a corrupt practice under the election code.
HC stays notice on Vodafone pug
The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted a stay on a notice issued by Animal Welfare Board (AWB) to Vodafone and has admitted the telecom operator’s petition for final hearing, reports news agenices from Mumbai. Vodafone has challenged an order of the AWB which requires the telecom operator to withdraw an advertisement sequence which shows a pup chasing a school van.
