The police have secured two persons for questioning and worth of the sarees is yet to be ascertained.

According to the police, the trucks parked near Reddy’s residence in Balajinagar were seized on a tip off from the Congress workers. Chaotic situation  prevailed near the station after the Congress workers tried to stage a snap stir demeaning action against Reddy.

The K G Halli police on Thursday night seized a van, reportedly belonging to BSP candidate of Sarvajnanagar Assembly segment Ismail Shareef and recovered clothes packed in several bags.The Jnanabharathi police seized liquor worth Rs 10 lakh and a car, on early Thursday  The BJP candidate M Srinivasa, however alleged that the JD(S) candidate Hanumantharayappa had stored it.

The Mico-layout police on late Wednesday night raided the residence of Appaji, a Congress leader and recovered sarees worth Rs 12 lakh in Bhuwaneshwarinagar. It is the second raid in a week on his house. The Banashankari police arrested five persons, stated to be the Congress party workers on the charge of distributing currency notes in Padmanabhanagar constituency  and seized Rs 1.19 lakh from them.
