Sagar said in the complaint that the accused introduced himself as a staunch follower of the Congress candidate R V Devaraj.

The accused reportedly told Sagar, “I am Devaraj’s supporter. You and your brother have managed to air a programme in a private television channel which has tarnished the image of Devaraj. If you continue to do the same, I won’t hesitate to eliminate you,” he threatened Sagar.

Foul language

The accused used foul language and did not disclose his name when Sagar asked for it and threatened that he would eliminate members of Sagar family, Sagar added in the complaint. The accused called from a public coin booth (41247806) and the police were trying to trace him.
