Poll scene is hotting up in Tumkur with a single day left for the Assembly elections. Various rumours and speculations are doing rounds giving a twist to the tales of elections in Tumkur.

One such hot gossip is about JD(S) candidate. As soon as he got ticket, he spent recklessly on the campaigning.

However, he seems to have grown silent all of a sudden, that too at the eleventh hour.  According to one of his close associates, the candidates wallet is almost empty. No one can abide by the Election Commission’s rules on expenditure.

However, no one can keep tabs on the money spent behind the screen during the elections.

When this reporter went to take stock of the election situation, there were hardly many persons surrounding this young leader. Not only money, but also there is another reason for less enthusiasm about the candidate - there is confusion among the people of Tigala community, to which this candidate belongs to, whether they should support him or not.

For, the JD(S) seems to have little prospects of winning the poll as the wind is strongly in favour of either BJP or Congress, say the local political analysts.
