Post Dus Kahaniya, Neha Oberoi is a happy girl. She is not only awaiting the release of Sanjay Gupta’s much talked about Woodstock Villa, but also looking at scripts down South, including those of Kannada movies. “I have acted in Telugu flick ‘Balu’ and I’m looking forward to working in more movies down South. But as of now I’m looking forward to the release of Woodstock Villa,” she says.
Neha plays an aspiring actress in the flick. ” I play Reshma, a small town but ambitious girl. She wants money and fame and can go to any extent to get both. I had a great time shooting for Woodstock. Sikandar and I understood each other very well. We shared each other’s anxieties and excitement. He is great fun but at the same time very professional.’’
Her role in Woodstock is very different from that in Dus Kahaniya... so is she being choosy? “I just love playing romantic roles,” she says. Little wonder then that her fav movie is `The Notebook’.
Apart from watching movies, cricket also interests the actor. “I have been following IPL and I’m all for the Mumbai Indians. I am a great fan of Sachin. Royal Challengers’ captain Dravid is superb too.”
The Bangalore connection for Neha however goes beyond Dravid. “My father is from Bangalore and I have a lot of relatives here. I have spent most of my summer holidays in the City. I always look forward to coming to Bangalore.” There is one more thing that the gal is looking forward to doing, “I want to act with Hrithik and Shahrukh, they are great actors,” she says.
