Tribute to artist
An exhibition is being held at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat till May 14 (11 am to 7 pm) in memory of Late M S Chandrashekar.
Artist Chandrashekar was a Chitrashilpi Venkatappa awardee who had worked for Archaelogical Survey of India and UNESCO to reproduce the famous paintings from Ajanta. His paintings of Krishnadevaraya adorn the walls of Parliament House in Delhi, Vidhana Soudha and other prestigious venues.

Raga Sarita
Sunaad will present Raga Sarita, 22 ragas representing the sequence of ragas as they are sung in a 24-hour cycle. These ragas are expressed through ‘Khayal’, ‘Dhrupad’, ‘Tarana’ and ‘Kirtanam’ as well as film songs.The concept and direction is by Tara Kini. ‘Sunaad’ has been bringing Hindustani classical music to audiences all over the country for many years now. Hindustani concert
The Gokhle Society is organising a Hindustani concert on May 11 at 6 pm. Renowned singer Ravindra Sorgavi will be performing at Gokhle Society's B V J Auditorium in Basavangudi. Accompanying him will be Udayaraj Kumar on the tabla and Narasimha Kulkarni on the harmonium.

Award ceremony
An award presentation ceremony, SV Narayanaswamy Rao National Award -2008, will be held as part of the Ramnavami celebrations at Fort High School Grounds, Chamrajpet on 11 May.
