Bangalore celebrates Deepavali in style
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Deepavali has become more star-studded this year with people flocking to theatres to watch star kids Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya and mega star Sharukh Khan with the new kid on the block Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om.

Bangaloreans are enjoying and partying their heart out. Thanks to the festival of lights and an extended weekend.

Its fun time as many corporates have declared a three-day holiday for employees starting from Friday. Though Government offices are closed only during the weekend and remained open on Friday, there was less attendance, some employees opted for leave or worked only for half a day.

What more! Some companies have provided employees with special Deepavali surprises. Movie tickets, passes to fantasy parks in the City and nearby locations along with gift vouchers.

It’s a complete blast in tinsel town too. Deepavali has become more star-studded this year with people flocking to theatres to watch star kids Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in  Saawariya and mega star Sharukh Khan with the new kid on the block Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om. As predicted weekend bookings for both the movies are almost full in multiplexes and theatres across the City.

Hordes of youngsters are looking forward to pub hopping this Saturday. DJs are getting geared up to let the crowd swing to Bollywood and Punjabi fast tracks,  going along with the flavour of the season.

Unperturbed by India’s loss to arch rivals Pakistan on Thursday, cricket lovers are now looking forward to the third ODI at Kanpur on Sunday. With so much entertainment in store people couldn’t have asked for more.
