Cong toothless: Bangarappa

Bangalore, dhns: The State Congress leaders have become toothless, and the BJP is forming the government because of the failure of Congress leaders, claimed Samajwadi Party State President S Bangarappa.

Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, Mr Bangarappa said the Congress leaders look forward to the high command for everything, and during the recent political developments in the State, they failed to evolve a proper political strategy to prevent the BJP from forming the government.

The former chief minister claimed that party supremo H D Deve Gowda is slowly losing his grip on his party. The instance of H D Kumaraswamy agreeing to become a deputy chief minster after occupying the post of chief minister proves that the JD(S) is ready to stoop to any level, he added.

On the re-alliance of the BJP and JD(S), Mr Bangarappa alleged that the Congress has struck a “deal” with the BJP, seeking the latter’s support for the nuclear deal, and hence allowed the BJP to form the government in Karnataka. He said he would tour the State by the end of this month.
